IYT Master Of Yachts (MOY) 200 ton Certificaat ( IYT Wereldwijde Cursus )


Kandidaten voor het MOY 200 ton certificaat moeten voldoen aan de minimale zeetijd die is vereist ook zullen ze een medische controle moeten ondergaan ENG1 of het USCG 719K.

Dit certificaat is universeel geaccepteerd om commerciële yachten tot 200 ton te mogen bedienen. Voor degene die de cursus alleen doen voor niet commerciële doeleinden hoeven de 5 daagse STCW95 Basic Safety Training niet te volgen. Op het certificaat komt dan te staan "Not For Commercial Use".

1. Master Of Yachts 200 tons Mate - Coastal ( IYT Worldwide )

2. Master of Yachts 200 tons limited - Offshore ( IYT Worldwide) om een yacht onder de 200 ton, tot 150 mijl uit de kust te mogen schipperen. Staat gelijk aan het RYA Yachtmaster Offshore.

3. Master of Yachts 200 tons Unlimited - Ocean (IYT Worldwide) om een yacht tot 200 ton onbeperkt oceaan.


IYT – MASTER OF YACHTS / MATE - COASTAL 200GRT


The MOY Mate 200/Coastal Certification Program is a practical course designed to provide the highest standards of maritime education for both the professional and recreational mariner.

The IYT Worldwide Master of Yachts Mate/Coastal certificate is a Commercial 200 ton Mates Certificate of Competency for operating Yachts as Mate. (And for command of a vessel up to a maximum length of 80 ft /24 meters (either auxiliary powered sailing vessels or a power vessels – per certificate endorsement) and its crew in coastal waters upto a distance of 60 miles offshore in moderate wind and sea conditions, day and night).

The program is an extensive course designed to provide the highest standards of maritime education for both the professional and recreational yachtsman and woman.

To gain the IYT Worldwide Master of Yachts Mate/Coastal certificate, the candidate must attend a 6 day practical / theory course on board a yacht; successfully complete a theory exam and practical assessment.

Objective: The expected learning outcome is that the student understands the theory and practical applications of:

- Basic navigation, pilotage and passage planning

- Safe and correct vessel handling

- Tides, Currents and Tidal calculations

- International and (Local) Collision Regulations and buoyage

- Weather and weather forecast information

- Anchoring, berthing and seamanship

- Safety and contingencies

Entry Standard: An intensive course designed for crew with sufficient on the water experience, proof of the required sea time will be required upon booking.

The Candidate should be 18 years of age or over

The Candidate should have 2 days at least as watchleader / captain

The requirements are:

- 800 nautical miles

- 25 days on board at sea

- 12 hours on watch at night underway

- A physical/medical which must include eyesight and colour blindness check

- VHF or Radio Operator Certificate

And if the candidate requires a Professional Certificate:

- Basic Sea Survival Certificate (S.T.C.W. 95)

- Fire Fighting Certificate (S.T.C.W. 95)

- First Aid Certificate (S.T.C.W. 95)

- Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (S.T.C.W. 95) 


IYT - MASTER OF YACHTS – LIMITED 200GRT


The IYT Worldwide Master of Yachts Limited is a Certificate of Competency for operating Commercial Yachts in command of a vessel up to a maximum 200 tons, upto 150 nautical miles from the coast (Day or night, any weather). The program is an extensive course designed to provide the highest standards of maritime education for both the professional and recreational yachtsman and woman. It is an intensive course designed for experienced crew with sufficient on the water experience.

To gain the IYT Worldwide Master of Yachts Limited certificate, both a theory course and exams and a 5 day practical on board course and practical exam must be successfully completed

Objective:

The expected learning outcome is that the student understands thE theory and practical applications of:

- Navigation, pilotage and passage planning

- Tides, Currents and Tidal calculations

- International and (Local) Collision Regulations and buoyage

- Meteorology

- Anchoring, berthing and seamanship

- Safety, Muster List, Station bill, Emergency Plans and contingencies

- Basic stability and construction

Entry Standard:

The MOY Limited Certification Programme is an extensive course designed to provide the highest standards of maritime education for both the professional and recreational mariner. It is an intensive course designed for experienced crew with sufficient on the water experience. This program is not for beginners; proof of the required sea time showing the necessary command endorsed time will be required upon booking.

The Candidate should be 18 years of age or over

The Candidate should have adequate practical experience AT THE HELM of either a sail boat or twin screw power vessel.

The requirements are:

- 3000 nautical miles

- 50 days on board at sea (a day = 24 hours)

- 30 hours on watch at night underway.

- A physical/medical which must include eyesight and colour blindness check


IYT - MASTER OF YACHTS – UNLIMITED 200 GRT


The IYT Worldwide Master of Yachts Unlimited is a Certificate of Competency for operating Commercial Yachts in command of a vessel up to a maximum 200 tons, anywhere in the world. The certificate is a qualification that indicates that the holder has sufficient knowledge of celestial navigation, to navigate globally using a sextant and to plan, undertake and manage an ocean passage, together with a comprehensive understanding of the factors involved with regard to routing and meteorology/weather matters.

To gain the IYT Worldwide Master of Yachts Unlimited certificate, a theory course and exam must be successfully completed.

Objective: The expected learning outcome is that the candidate has sufficient knowledge of celestial navigation, based on air navigation tables, to navigate the globe using a sextant, to plan, undertake and manage an ocean passage and is capable of successfully utilizing celestial navigation techniques together with a comprehensive understanding of the factors involved with regard to routing and meteorology/weather matters. In particular understands the theory and practical applications of:

- The Earth, the celestial sphere and the PZX Triangle.

- Measurement of time

- Meridian altitudes

- Sun sights, planet sights, star sight planning, star sights, the pole star, and moon sights; reduction and plotting

- Compass checking

- Satellite/electronic navigation systems

- Passage planning, great circle sailing and world Meteorology

Entry Standard: The MOY Unlimited Certification Program is an extensive course designedto provide the highest standards of maritime education for both the professional and recreational mariner. It is an intensive course designed for experienced crew with sufficient on the water experience.

The Candidate should be 18 years of age or over

The requirements are:

- IYT Worldwide MOY Unlimited Programme is restricted to current holders of a valid IYT Worldwide MOY Limited Certificate.

A physical/medical which must include eyesight and colour blindness check

Vaarles op Cursus Yacht


Bent u van plan een yacht te gaan aanschaffen of U wilt een update van uw eigen kunnen. Dan kan een dag varen op een yacht onder begeleiding U een kijk geven op het varen. De keuze voor het ene of het andere yacht kan wellicht gemakkelijker worden gemaakt.

Wilt U gewoon een dag ervaring op doen, wat het nu precies is waarom er zoveel mensen een yacht bezitten en ervan genieten. Dan is een cursus dag een uitgelezen kans om dit te ervaren.

Belangrijk tijdens deze vaardag is dat u vertrouwd raakt met alles van het varen met een motorjacht.

Tijdens deze dag komen de vaarregels en wetten en de meest voorkomende vaarsituaties aan bod, zoals:

- varen op kanalen en rivieren

- nemen van sluizen en bruggen

- het binnenvaren en buitenvaren van havens
